Overview

The Refresh All Sources function in AnalyticsCreator scans all defined source objects across all connectors and updates their metadata definitions based on changes in external systems. It performs a full refresh of each source table in the project, updating column definitions, data types, and key metadata to align your model with the current structure of the source databases.

When and Why to Use This Feature

  • After major changes in source systems, such as schema updates or deployments
  • When column types or structures are changed in the source databases
  • To synchronize the metadata model with all connected systems at once
  • To avoid manually refreshing each source individually

How to Use the Refresh All Sources Function

  1. Go to the Toolbar in the main application window
  2. Select the Tools Menu
  3. Click on Refresh All Sources
  4. Wait for AnalyticsCreator to scan and update all source metadata
  5. Review the refreshed model to verify updated columns and types
