Context for AI

Technical structures do not explain the whole design.

Schemas and code alone may not explain the business definitions, relationships and modelling decisions behind an analytics solution.

Design Intelligence gives agents access to available context recorded in the AnalyticsCreator project. This provides a reference for assessing technical suggestions against the solution's design.

Explanations of why a decision was made depend on that reasoning being recorded. Missing context remains a limitation.

Authorised MCP-compatible agents can consult Design Intelligence for available saved-project context. They must be configured to use that connection.

Live data through a separate connection

The same agent can also query live business data through separately authorised tools or connections. It can use project context alongside those results. Design Intelligence itself does not provide the live-data connection.

AI and Deterministic Generation

AI assists with reasoning. AnalyticsCreator controls generation.

AI assistance

Agents use available project context to explain structures, explore confirmed dependencies and prepare technical proposals. Their responses require review against the project and its coverage.

AnalyticsCreator generation

Models and corresponding implementation code develop together in AnalyticsCreator. Native assets and deployment packages are prepared from that project using the selected target settings.

Deterministic generation is an AnalyticsCreator capability. Giving an AI agent project context does not make its output deterministic or replace AnalyticsCreator's generation process.

Reviewed Project Changes

Move from AI-assisted analysis to controlled project updates.

Project context gives teams a basis for reviewing AI suggestions before adopting them. Accepted changes remain subject to the organisation's design, validation and release controls.

Access to Design Intelligence does not itself grant permission to modify a project or a production environment.

Design Intelligence: common questions

What is AnalyticsCreator Design Intelligence?

Design Intelligence makes supported context from saved AnalyticsCreator projects accessible to authorised AI agents through MCP. Agents can use that context for explanations, dependency analysis and technical proposals.

Can an agent use Design Intelligence while querying live business data?

Yes. An agent configured to use both connections can consult Design Intelligence for project context and access live data through separately authorised tools. Design Intelligence provides the project context, not the live-data connection.

Does every AI agent automatically consult Design Intelligence?

No. The agent must support the MCP connection, be authorised and be configured to consult it. Access to a database or analytical tool does not automatically connect the agent to Design Intelligence.

Does Design Intelligence expose everything in an AnalyticsCreator project?

The available context depends on the saved project and supported coverage. The project includes models, implementation code and documentation, but that does not mean every element is exposed through every Design Intelligence query. Coverage limitations and unconfirmed dependencies must remain explicit.

Does Design Intelligence make AI-generated code deterministic?

No. Deterministic generation belongs to AnalyticsCreator. Design Intelligence supplies context for AI-supported reasoning and proposals; those outputs still require review.

Can Design Intelligence explain why a modelling decision was made?

Only where the relevant reasoning is recorded and available. Definitions and relationships can explain the structure of a design, but they do not necessarily establish why a particular decision was taken.
